Check out my latest article for Fireengineering.com here: http://www.fireengineering.com/index/articles/display/2162385318/articles/fire-engineering/fire-ems/engineco/2011/07/victim-removal-pool.html
This is the second online article that I have had published, and while it may seem insignificant to some I always get a good feeling about seeing them. Maybe one day it will not be as exciting but for now I think it is a huge honor and I get excited every time I have something published no matter the size or reach of the publication (I have written several articles for our inter department training bulletin).
However I am not the only writer in my house, and in fact I am far from the best. My wife “Average Band Aide Bunny” has written several EMS article that have been published in Fireengineering Magazine, and she taught at FDIC 3 times before I did. Well now she has gone big time on me. About 2 years ago she had an idea for a publication to teach EMS providers how to better integrate into the incident management system. Well after a lot of reasearch, writing, and going back and forth with editors here is the result http://www.pennwellbooks.com/inmaforems.html
Thats right her very own book! You can preorder it right now, and it will soon be available at all the major conferences around the country! I can not begin to express how proud I am of her.
So take a look at my article, and buy my wifes book so that we can send our kids to college! Ha ha ha, but seriously having been involved with her from day one I know the content is something every person riding an ambulance, and managing Fire and EMS systems should be reading, so if you buy it you will not be disappointed.
