The best, and largest Fire Department Conference in the WORLD begins tomorrow! Tomorrow and Tuesday HOT (Hands On Training) and pre conference workshops begin tomorrow.
I along with my wife, brother, father, and father in law will be flying out to Indy Tuesday morning and arriving in the late afternoon.
On Wednesday I will be teaching my class “Engine Company Emergencies” at 10:30.
I will also be heading out to the FOOLS Brotherhood Bash, and Running in the Courage and Valor 5K race.
If you can not make it out make sure you follow along on twitter with me and all of the others at the conference. You can also follow along with the official Fire Engineering page here: http://www.fireengineering.com/fdic.html On this page you will see daily video updates from Bobby Halton Editor and Chief of Fire Engineering Magazine, find links to follow the official FDIC twitter and Facebook pages, and updated news and pictures from the conference.
You can also listen live to Fire Engineering Radio live from the Exhibit floor here is the schedule http://www.fireengineering.com/blogs/fireengineeringtalkradio.html
So while there is no substitute for not going to FDIC you do not have to feel left out of the loop as you can participate on a limited basis from the comfort of your home or smart phone.
Like I said I will be tweeting, and trying to give updates the entire time I am there. I will try to get a “middle of the conference post up, but if not I will give a full review of the conference once I get back.
If you are heading out to Indy stop by and say hello if you see me out, the best way to know where I am at is to follow along on twitter.
So if you’re heading out I hope everyone has a great conference and we will see you soon, if not please be sure to follow along and we will give you a full report when we get back.
As usual thanks for reading, spread the word, and STAY SAFE!
